Think Together

"The most meaningful things were never built alone."

Think Together, Notion’s biggest brand play of 2026, started as a film for all-hands that we made in 48 hours. It was only ever meant to be shown internally, so it was built fast and loose on unlicensed archival footage and a Ryuichi Sakamoto track we hadn't cleared. After it played, people across the company started asking to post it, and the honest answer was no: the imagery was high-profile, copyrighted, and licensing it as cut would have cost millions, not thousands.

So we rebuilt it. Same script, same structure, same tone, but every frame swapped for something we could actually license and a new music track, with the asset sheet going to legal before release. We lost some of the iconic footage and had to tell the same story without it, which is the part nobody sees. And yet, it blew up on socials getting hundreds of thousands of views in just a few hours.

From there it grew into a global campaign, built bottom-up out of that first video: a 30-second spot, out-of-home across NAMER, APAC and EMEA, localized into six languages, and a homepage takeover. The final version of the video, produced alongside Ways & Means, accrued 19 million views on Youtube alone.

I edited and produced each video alongside Cory Zapatka, Notion’s video lead. I also produced on creative notes and calls on the paid cuts, the end cards and CTAs, the two linear TV spots for the Cincinnati buy, and the caption system the campaign ran on, which we then turned into a Premiere plugin the whole team uses
